Transfers

The Cities of Braga and Guimarães do not have an international airport, however Porto airport is only 50 km away.

Arrivals and Departures

Official arrival and departure points for participants:

  • Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (Oporto);
  • Braga Bus Terminal;
  • Braga Train Station.

Porto Airport (50km from Braga, 35 minutes by bus)

Transfers from/to Oporto International Airport (Braga nearest international airport), will be assured by special buses, according to the arrival and departure schedule. Transfers from Lisbon will not be assured by the LOC, however, delegations can easily arrive at Braga by train or by bus and the LOC will assure that transfers.

Braga Bus Station (5 minutes from accommodation)

Rede Expressos and RENEX, national bus companies, are the best way to get to Braga. With this company
is possible to travel from almost every city in Portugal (i.e. Lisbon, Oporto).

Transportation Service

There will be provided effective and timely transportation services to all accredited participants covering all key locations including accommodation, catering, training and competition venues and other locations of the event.

Detailed transport schedule and lines will be displayed in Info Points, at the entrance of each accommodation and canteen, at the competition/training venues, as well as at the WUC Futsal official webpage and other social media platforms.

Concerning the ceremonies, such as the opening ceremony, the transportation will be specific to each event and respecting the number of people that need to be transported.

Information will be regularly updated in case of any changes in the program. The staff and the volunteers will be at disposal in case of any questions regarding the transportation service.

Competition

Dedicated transport will be available to teams for all games.

Transportation Infrastructure

The city of Braga is served by a widespread network of public transportation. Braga’s Transportation Company (TUB) has 74 different routes within the city and more than 1750 bus stops. With their 150 vehicles covering a 300 km network, the WUC participants can travel to any place in the city that they want to visit.

As in previous organisations, all the participants will have access to the public transportation network, for free.

Braga and Guimarães is also covered by a well-organized Taxis network. The international companies, Uber and Bolt, operate in our city as well.
